A SANDSTONE STAFF HANDLE New Kingdom - Third Intermediate Period, Circa 1550 - 712 B.C. Of pale sandstone with clearly defined banding, the conical handle with a smooth surface, tapering slightly at one end, and drilled at the other for insertion onto the shaft of a staff, 13cm high. Provenance: Private New Jersey collection, USA; private UK collection.
