AN EGYPTIAN WOOD CAT Late Period, Circa 664 - 30 B.C. Of slender form, depicted seated on its haunches, with slender front legs and forepaws together, with tall pointed pierced ears and a short muzzle with incised whiskers, 14cm high.  Provenance: Collection of Dr Gottlieb Wilhelm Leitner (1840 - 1899), Woking, Surrey, UK; Bonham's, London, Antiquities, 23 May 2012, lot 333.
