AN EGYPTIAN WOOD POLYCHROME SHABTI New Kingdom, Circa 1295 - 1070 B.C. The surface of the shabti covered in polychrome pigment, with black hieroglyphs just visible on the front of the body, wearing a black tripartite wig and carrying two hoes, with a seed back across the back and two pots hanging from a yoke behind the shoulders, 21cm high. Provenance: Julian Bird collection, London, acquired Bonhams, London, 2010.
