AN EGYPTIAN GLAZED JAR Late Period, Circa 664 - 332 B.C. Possibly a canopic jar, the straight-sided vessel tapers to a flat base, the shoulder curves to the narrow short neck with a slightly everted lip, 24.7cm high.  Provenance: Private UK collection, acquired prior to 1980. Footnotes: For a similar examples of blue glazed canopic jars see four lidded canopic jars of Psamtek in the British Museum, registration no. 1924.0510.17-20.
