Standing tall with Antiquities and Tribal Art

31/01/2016     Chiswick Curates

On Tuesday 2nd February we will be holding a sale of Antiquities and Tribal Art.
It starts at 11am and will be followed by the General sale.

Chiswick Auctions will come alive with a wide variety of artefacts from distant and ancient cultures, from ancient Egypt to Oceania and beyond.

Six different private collections make up the core of the sale; each one representing the personal taste and interests of the man who created them.

Lot 46 is just one of the impressive items available. It is from the collection of Nikos Paschalis (1918-1948), grandson of Geroge Paschalis, founder of the Paschalion Archaeophylakeyon Museum in Samos in 1912. A highlight of the collection is an Egyptian polychrome wood mummy mask with glass inlays for the eyes and eyebrows. Estimate: £3,000 - £5,000
