Mid 20th Century Design Sale – 14 January 2014

6 December 2013 in News

We have had a great response to news of our first dedicated Mid 20th Century Design sale.

Consignments have been steadily coming in with an already interesting variety. Amongst the items there will be some Paul Evans furniture for Directional c.1970, ‘urban art’ featuring a painting by Ghass Rouzkhosh and prints by Mel Ramos and Victor Vaserely.

There’s going to be a good selection of British design by Ernest Race, John and Sylvia Reid for Stag Furniture and some Merrow Associates pieces.
We also have some Danish teak and rosewood sideboards, dining tables and chairs, as well as some Italian furniture.
Also on sale will be mid century glass and ceramics from the 1950s, 1960s and earlier by Lalique, Whitefriars, Clarice Cliffe, Murano, Flygfors and  Venini, to include a Polyedri chandelier by Carlo Scarpa.

We are taking in consignments until the 20th December 2013 and welcome email enquiries with photos to james@chiswickauctions.co.uk or just bring your items into us for a free valuation.
Below is an example of some of the lots already in the sale – together with examples of some of the things we are looking for.
