We are all getting excited as we look forward to our second fine art sale to be held on the 1st July. There are some fantastic lots in this sale which we have been gathering for the last two months. Most will be sold without reserve, soon the opportunity to get a bargain will be totally in your hands.
We always have a bit of back room banter regarding which lot will create the most interest and the general opinion is it will be lot 84, the Wembley Stadium books, saved from being thrown in a skip by some quick thinking employee during the demolition of the old stadium. These books contain 1000’s of autographs from royalty, FA Cup Final Teams, Olympic medalists and too many more to list. (Come and see them for yourself and see who you can identify!) Another highlight of the sale is lot 500, an Anton Seuffert (New Zealand) occasional table. these tables are very rare and sought after. So far, my research is proving this is only the ninth one complete with original pedestal. The last one we had (number 7), made £9,500, but might have made more, had we been able to get through on the telephone to a potential bidder in New Zealand - so who knows what will happen this time!
