£19,000 ivory crucifix!
Chiswick Auctions 8th September selected and fine art antique sale broke all records for the saleroom. A collection of items from a former convent took a total of just over £40,000 - including £19,000 for a large ivory crucifix (photo below) Other highlights included a Faberge enamelled brush £2,400, an original Russell Flint watercolour at £2,100 and £3,100 for a Chiparus bronze.
