£17,000 Lalique Horses

26 March 2010 in News

Our ‘fine’ sale on 23rd March, this week achieved a house total record for Chiswick Auctions.

The highlight of the sale was a pair of rare Lalique horses.  The car mascots were found in a house clearance in Fulham and came in from the property without any expectations from the vendor.  After an astonishingly busy viewing,  six phone bids and live internet bidding too, the pair sold for over £20,000 including buyers premium.  (this considering both of them were chipped!)

Other highlights of the sale included a collection of Russian silver in Faberge style, with seventeen lots selling for a hammer price total of £24,700

The next ‘fine’ sale date is to be announced on our website very soon, but should be early June.
